While I’ve been working on the Younker/Fauerbach families, I’ve been reminded that there’s at least two individuals who need a big THANK YOU for their historical and documentary work with the Maple Hill Cemetery for the website FindAGrave. They are Larry and Cheryl (Brooks) White.

Larry and Cheryl, along with others, have spent countless hours in photographing and posting photos of headstones and in going to historical libraries and seeking the obituaries of those buried in the cemetery. The work is on going because of its magnitude, but I’m sure a week doesn’t go by that Larry or Cheryl aren’t making trips to Maple Hill Cemetery or pouring over microfilm looking for obits.

Incidentally, Cheryl is the daughter of Maple Hill native Naomi (Raine) Brooks, and is very interested in the history of the Raine family as well as many others.

Thank you Larry and Cheryl. We are all the beneficiaries of your work, which is an uncompensated labor of love!
