Good afternoon friends, both far and near. I’ve been neglecting the Maple Hill page of late. Its time to make the transition from Montana back to Palm Springs, California, so I’ve been preoccupied with readying the house and packing. I’ll leave early tomorrow morning and I look forward to attending the open rehearsal of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in Salt Lake City tomorrow evening. I should be back in Palm Springs by Saturday afternoon, Lord willing!
When I begin writing in a couple of weeks, it will be about the children of Horace G. and Mabel G. (Warren) Adams, beginning with their oldest Bessie Ethyl Adams and ending with the youngest, Raymond E. Adams, Sr. I’m sure you are going to find their history most interesting. I certainly learned a lot in doing the research.
I hope you’re all enjoying a wonderful fall. I’ll leave you with a couple of photos I took from my deck this summer. The first is an approaching storm at sunset which caused beautiful color in the clouds. The second is of a snow capped Emigrant Peak, taken after a freak storm on July 10, 2015. All I got at the house was a lot of pea-sized hail but it left several inches of snow on the mountain tops. I really enjoy all of nature’s best spending summers in Montana and winters in Palm Springs, CA—-I do miss Kansas just in case you might think I’m a total traitor!!
Signing off for now.
