I bought this picture postcard many years ago because it was one of the few that depicts a Potawatomi lodge. This is the type lodge that the Potawatomi would have built and lived in along Mill Creek during the 1840s, 1850, 1860s and until they were removed and sent to Oklahoma in 1871. Very interesting!!
