Maple Hill, Kansas: Its History, People, Legends and Photographs

Here are some pictures of Leslie F. Justice, who serviced in the United States Army immediately after World War II. He was in the German Occupation Force and was a constable. He spent a lot of time in the railroad yards at Frankfort, Germany checking boxcars to see that they had the contents that they were supposed to have and also riding trains between Frankfort and Le Harve, France as a guard against snipers. The last photo was taken when Les graduated from Maple Hill High School and just before he went into the service and left for Germany. Les will soon be 90-years-old and lives with son Loren on Maple Hill’s Main Street.
