I see a lot of Facebook friends are posting old High School Prom photographs so let me share a few here. These are from 1961, when our Maple Hill High School junior class sponsored the Junior/Senior Prom at Helen’s Party House, across from Whie Lakes Moll on the north side. It was a pretty old stone home which had been turned into a catering facility. The theme was “Evening in Paris” and we had a great dinner, an evening of dancing and we were then driven home on the school bus. Since there were only about 20 students total in the two classes it wasn’t a large or lavish affair, but it was a lot of fun. Also bear in mind that those who went to the proms as dates, did not necessarily spend the rest of their lives together—but all are still good friends! Enjoy!!!
