Maple Hill, Kansas: Its History, People, Legends and Photographs

Morning Maple Hill Friends!

I’m leaving for the summer house at Emigrant, Montana on Monday, and I’m getting a new computer there, so it will likely be a couple of weeks before I’m able to post any more Maple Hill articles. I’m looking forward to my first full summer in the Paradise Valley, and to having MapleHillite and brother Gary arrive Saturday to ride up from Palm Springs! Don’t worry—he’s going to make it home in time for the Maple Hill All School Alumni Reunion on June 13. Wish I could be there, but I’ll be knee-deep in grandkids and family in Montana.

I’ll be posting the last of the articles on the John Hall Parsons family today or tomorrow. I have felt a sadness in writing those articles since I only know of two descendants from his three children. Two of the children died without any family descendants: Sophia (Parsons) Raymond and Catherine (Parsons) Gray. Happily, there are many descendants of the Elizabeth (Parsons) Adams branch of the family.

I’ll then continue with the family of Alexander and Mary Jane (Porter) Adams Family. After that, I’m planning on writing about the Warren and Crouch Families.

Here’s hoping that you all have a pleasant summer!!
